Diwali is the Festival of Light and Diwali is celebrated as the victory of Truth . Lord Ram won war from Devil Rawan and got his Wife, Goddess Sita back to his country . When Lord Ram came again after victory to his nation Ayodhya, people of Ayodhya celebrated this victory by enlightening candles and lights with “Ghee”. From that day, each year Diwali is celebrated throughout the nation .
Diwali is celebrated each year in the month of “Kartik” according to Hindu’s calendar. Each year 15th day of Kartik Month is celebrated as the Diwali. Diwali is celebrated on the “Amavasya” of Kartik month in the Krishna paksh. Diwali will be celebrated on 26 October in 2011.
