Koena Mitra is an Indian actress and former model.She was born in Kolkata, West Bengal. Mitra attended South Point High School and Lady Brabourne College in Calcutta. Mitra was trained with the Mamata Shankar ballet troupe for 12 years. Koena Mitra's first appearance in the Bollywood was in an item number song in Ram Gopal Verma's Road. The song " khullam khulla" became a craze and she got typecast ed as an item girl.
